Research at CARTEL
CARTEL is a dynamic group of researchers, students and postdoctoral fellows who conduct research aimed at advancing knowledge in remote sensing and its applications to Earth observation. CARTEL’s studies cover the four extremities of the globe, from the poles to the tropics, from continents to oceans, as well as a wide variety of natural and human ecosystems.
CARTEL researchers, whether physicists, engineers, biologists, geographers or others, use and develop a wide range of state-of-the-art airborne and satellite ground-based sensors to answer fundamental scientific, environmental or social questions. This research is largely the result of the collaborative efforts of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from around the world.
